Privacy policy
Last updated: 20 October 2026
1. About this policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Skyla Rose Co (trading as skylaroseco, ABN 33 832 761 120) ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, stores and discloses your personal information when you visit www.skylaroseco.com (the "Site"), use our Fitting Room virtual try-on, contact us or buy from us.
We are based in Sydney, Australia and handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. If you have any questions, contact us at hello@skylaroseco.com.
2. What we collect
- Contact and order details: your name, email address, phone number, billing and delivery address, order history, and any messages you send us.
- Payment details: payments are processed by our payment providers. We do not store your full card number.
- Device and browsing information: your browser, device, IP address, time zone, pages and products you view, and how you interact with the Site, collected through cookies and similar technologies.
- Marketing preferences: whether you have subscribed to our emails or SMS.
- Reviews and content: reviews, photos or comments you choose to share with us.
- Fitting Room photos: a photo you upload or take to use our virtual try-on, and the try-on image created from it (see section 5).
3. How we collect it
We collect personal information directly from you (for example when you place an order, sign up to our emails, contact us or use the Fitting Room), automatically when you use the Site, and from our service providers (for example payment, shipping and returns providers) when they help us fulfil your order.
4. How we use it
- to process, ship and support your orders, returns and exchanges;
- to communicate with you and provide customer service;
- to send you marketing by email or SMS where you have agreed to receive it;
- to show you relevant advertising and understand how our Site is used so we can improve it;
- to provide the Fitting Room virtual try-on and size suggestions;
- to detect and prevent fraud and chargebacks; and
- to meet our legal obligations.
5. Fitting Room (virtual try-on)
Our Fitting Room lets you upload or take a photo and see an AI-generated image of how one of our garments may look. This is how we handle those photos:
- Only used to create your look. Your photo is used only to generate your try-on image (and, if you choose, a short try-on video). We do not use it for marketing or any other purpose.
- Not kept or stored by us. We do not keep or store your photo or your try-on image on our systems. Your photo is sent securely to our AI technology partner to create the image, and all images are deleted by our partner within 72 hours.
- Face blur. You can choose to blur faces in your photo, and this is switched on by default for children's garments. Faces are found and blurred on your own device, before anything is sent, so an unblurred face never leaves your phone or computer. The blur stays on your try-on image and video. Photo details such as location, device and date are also removed on your device before upload.
- Not used to train AI. Our AI technology partner is contractually committed not to use your photos or try-on images to train or improve any AI model.
- On your device. To save you uploading again while you browse, your photo may be held temporarily in your own browser and is cleared when you close the browser tab. If you tap "Save image", the image is saved to your device only.
- Your consent. Before uploading, you confirm that the photo is of you and/or a child you are the parent or legal guardian of, and that you have the right to use it.
- Consent record. When you create a try-on, we keep a small record of your consent: the date and time, the version of the consent wording, whether the photo was of you or your child, whether face blur was on, the product and a random session code. This record never includes your photo, your try-on image or any face data, and is stored securely with Cloudflare.
- Children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Children's photos may only be uploaded by a parent or guardian for a try-on of our children's garments, and are handled in the same way as above.
- Size suggestions. Any size or height you enter is used only to suggest a size during that visit.
Try-on images are AI-generated previews for styling purposes only and may not exactly reflect fit, colour or fabric.
6. Who we share it with
We share personal information only as needed to run our business, with trusted service providers who handle it on our behalf, including:

10. Security and retention
We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. We keep order and customer records for as long as we need them for the purposes above and to meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations, and then securely delete or de-identify them. Fitting Room photos are not kept by us (see section 5).
11. Accessing and correcting your information
You can ask to access or correct the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, by emailing hello@skylaroseco.com. We will respond within a reasonable time.

13. Customers outside Australia
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you may have additional rights under the GDPR, including to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the use of your information, and to data portability.
